MEET Mama SANG.
From a small village in Thailand to a beloved chef in Georgia — a story of courage, resilience, and love.

Sawasdee ka,
I was raised in a large family in Thailand — five sisters, three brothers, and a father who was a teacher. We didn't have much, but we had each other, and we learned the value of hard work, family, and togetherness early.
When my father passed away, life changed forever. At just 12 years old, I moved to the United States in search of a better education and a brighter future, guided by the love and support of my sister.
Cooking quickly became more than a skill — it became my calling.
Inspired by my oldest sister, who studied home economics in Thailand, I learned traditional cooking techniques rooted in care, discipline, and hospitality. Those lessons followed me into adulthood as I worked in Chinese restaurants throughout college — watching the chefs, studying recipes, quietly dreaming of a restaurant of my own one day.
With only $19,000 and a leap of faith, I opened my first restaurant in Macon, Georgia. What began as a dream became a community favorite. The food was known not just for its flavor, but for the heart behind every dish. Customers became family — many still follow me more than 20 years later.
"I cook with love. When people eat my food, I want them to feel like they are home."
After years of running restaurants — including reopening another beloved location just before COVID-19 — the pandemic forced me to close my doors again. But while the restaurant closed, the passion never did. Today I cook privately for loyal customers who still say no one cooks quite like Mama Sang.
For me, food has always been about more than business. It's about connection, comfort, and caring for people. My greatest dream is to one day use this success to give back to children in Thailand — supporting education and helping underserved families create better opportunities for their future.
Every meal is made with heart.
Every person at my table becomes family.
"Food is how I say I love you. Now it's how I say it to you, too."
